Keep up with the pace of technology in fashion with our tailored development services.

Technology Ethos

Every project we undertake at Campgrnds starts with a thorough exploration of the client’s needs, goals, and vision. Our approach to dealing with client's is to always put forward ideas rooted in connection with the customer. What better way to accomplish this then directly communicating with customers that already possess a client's fashion. To do this we leverage Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. An accessible digital bridge that links the customers and brands seamlessly. Utilizing the same technology in Tap-to-Pay and public transit systems, NFC chips are robust and secure gateways between parties.

Developing an end-to-end solution—hardware integrations (NFC tags) on garments make the entire lifecycle of the garment within reach of a brand.

Whether it be through an immersive digital platform to enrich the customer journey or an AI voice agent that streamlines sales. From on-tag interactions to online experiences, our approach is meant to ensure that every detail aligns with our client's need to learn more about their customers and community.

NFC by the Numbers

Market

  • The global NFC market is projected to reach USD 47.4 billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of about 14% from 2021 to 2026.
  • NFC-based contactless transactions are expected to surpass USD 10 trillion globally by 2027.
  • Over 70% of the world’s population is forecast to own a smartphone with NFC functionality by 2026.

Consumers

  • Over 80% of smartphones shipped worldwide today come equipped with NFC.
  • In the U.S., contactless payments grew 150% between 2019 and 2021 alone.

Marketing

  • NFC-based experiences (e.g., tapping a product’s NFC tag for more info) can yield 10-20x higher engagement rates compared to traditional QR codes
  • NFC tags can confirm product authenticity in luxury goods, electronics, or pharmaceuticals. This helps brands reduce counterfeiting losses, which cost global businesses an estimated USD 1 trillion annually.
  • Marketers can use NFC tags embedded in signage, packaging, or products to link customers to tailored content, reward programs, or personalized offers. This not only heightens brand engagement but can boost average order value (AOV) by offering curated recommendations in real time.
  • NFC-driven loyalty programs can result in up to a 30% increase in membership sign-ups

Monetization

  • Some retailers report a 5–10% lift in sales when customers engage with digital product information via NFC.
  • The simplicity of tap-to-join can increase subscription conversion rates by 15–25%

Implementation Highlights

ART IN HEAVEN

During NYFW 24' we deployed several NFC tags onto garments from Bronx native NOAH JOSEPH. He's a resident designer at the SoHarlem cultural industries incubator located in the MINK Building on 126th & Amsterdam in Harlem, NY. The winter runway show featured models wearing his signature pieces to include hand stitched sweaters, jeans, and accessories. We worked closely with him to deliver 34mm iron-on NXP 424 DNA standard NFC garment chips which redirected to his website and a conversational AI agent tasked with upselling his merchandise to customers. All-in-all a very simple use case and one that's proved to be a help in communicating his creative vision a community of involved customers.

NFC IS THE WAY

With a perfect blend of technology, creativity, and performance optimization, Campgrnds brings a new layer of interactivity to designers like Noah. By employing NFC tags, responsive design, and meticulous development, we created a seamless platform that empowers both the brand and its audience.

From concept to deployment, we're proud of this project. It illustrates our commitment to turning visionary ideas into functional, memorable user experiences, especially for a rising talent that didn't want to compromise the aesthetic integrity of his clothing. If you’re looking to elevate your brand through innovative digital solutions Campgrnds is here to craft your next bold move.
